Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I mainly post about my sewing projects, as I’m building a colourful and comfortable everyday wardrobe suitable for a working mum of primary school children. I really love African wax fabric, so that features heavily. I also occassionally post about family life in Edinburgh and travel. Hope you have a nice stay!

Avery Leggings in Fuchsia pink

Avery Leggings in Fuchsia pink

Slowly catching up with my blogging! I made these leggings back in August, but finally getting round to writing them up. I’m going to keep this short and sweet as I didn’t make any changes from my first pair.

Pattern: Helen’s Closet Avery leggings, view B with the extra high waist

Size: 16/18

Fabric: It’s ‘Italian Matte lycra’ from Fabworks. They had it in a few colours, I would have gone for the purple blue, but left it too late so got this fuchsia pink. I really liker the colour but turns out its not completely opaque through - and I almost exclusively wear black underwear. Which is why I’m not showing you a back view!

Adjustments: None. I might shorten a biut next time though, I am short and these are drafted extra long.

Wearability: The fabric is super soft and doesn’t have that activewear feel at all, even though it’s lycra. But the see througheyness does put me off and I’ve mainly worn these as tights rather than on their own.

Special mention: Little Rosy Cheeks ‘I made this’ label so I know what the front is

C’est tout!
