Welcome to my blog. I mainly post about my sewing projects, as I’m building a colourful and comfortable everyday wardrobe suitable for a working mum of primary school children. My first make of 2024 is another Peppermint Patterns Samford Set pyjama bottoms, in a flannel I bought from a destash years ago. Stashbusting! I went down one size, I managed to cut the edges off my already printed out pattern pieces no problem. I also took 10 cm off the length, and then hemmed off another 5 cm. That's much better size wise. The blue pair I made look great but I've tripped over them when going up the stairs on more than one occasion. I do think I should have done a full bum adjustment (my standard adjustment) so I'll do that next time!

Pattern: Peppermint Patterns Samford Set trousers

Size: G

Fabric: Some kind of mid weight cotton flannel I bought off an instagram destash a few years ago.

Adjustments: Shortened by 10cms, plus a large 5cm hem. Maybe would shorten by 12cms next time, but I didn’t want to go too short
